about
Mitchell Taylor- Songwriter
Writing and singing songs about life, love and politics, attempting to make sense of the world, Mitchell Taylor is particularly inspired by The Clash, Woody Guthrie and Leonard Cohen.
Mitchell says: “For 'The General Said' my inspiration came from listening to the interviewees, especially Alice Gear, who described their sudden birth into class consciousness. The sense of injustice, from all the interviews I heard, hit home, war has not changed, we still send our good to die young for the benefit of those who already hold every advantage in life. We want peace. Now.’
Karl Stix Hall-Drums
Karl is a 16 year old drummer and began playing the kit from the age of 4. He is currently working under a very well known drum professor Mike Dolbear, who also teaches famous drummers such as Dexter Hercule (Olly Murs, Rita Ora), Cherisse Osei (Paloma Faith, Mika, Brian Ferry) and Josh Devine (One Direction). Ths year he came in the top 12 of the National Young Drummer of the Year Competition and made a appearance in a Hollywood film called ʻNow You See Me 2ʼ (coming out in 2016), drum-busking on the streets of New York along- side the actor Dave Franco. He has been accepted to study drumming next year at the London Centre of Contemporary Music, with the intention of making playing drums and percussion his full time career. Karl also plays piano and guitar.

Planet Zyz isn't cool. That's because I'm not cool and Planet Zyz is just where music and stuff I'm involved with gets made
and put out to the Big Wide World. Cottage Industry? Well, actually a Terrace-in-Milton-Keynes industry. Every album is different to the others, and none of them quite fit in with where all the Cool Stuff is. Outsider Art? This stuff is from a different planet....more
